In order to investigate the immunomodulational effects of Lonicerae Caulis. The author measured proliferation of lymphocytes, increase and decrease of CD4´, CD8´ T cells, CD19´ B cells.
The results were obtained as follows:
1. The number of lymphocytes was significantly increased at the 20Ofig/ml, lM)&mP degree of density compared with control group.
2. The water extract of Lonicerae Caulis. enhanced the number of WBC(white blood cell).
3. The water extract of Lonicerae Caulis. enhanced the number of CD4´ T cell, CD8´ T cell, CD19´ B cells in viva
4. The water extract of Lonicerae Caulis. reduced the number of CD4´ T cell, CDS´ T cell, CD19´ B cells in vifro.
5 . In water fraction the number of CD4´ T cell, CD8´ T cell were increased at the 200/1KjmP, 100pg/mf degree of density.
The above results demonstrate that Lonicerae Caulis. has enhancing immunity by enhancing proliferation of lymphocytes, regulating the expression of CD4´, CD8´ T cells, CD19´ B cells. Therefore, if we make clear the relationship between those which concerned with immunopotentiation, the immunopotentiational mechanism of Lonicera japonica THIJNB. will be shown clearly.
